1. What is the Entrepreneurs Conference? |

 

The Entrepreneurs Conference is presented annually by Orange County alumni of the Harvard Business School (HBSAOC) as a reasonably priced event dedicated to fostering success in the creation, financing, and management of new and established business enterprises.

2. What if I am not an alum from Harvard Business School? |

 

The Entrepreneurs conference is open to the public and in fact, only 5% of Conference attendees are Harvard alumni and most of them are volunteers working on the steering committee.

3. Can I join HBSAOC? |

 

Membership is limited to graduates of the school's MBA and executive education programs. We serve over 600 alumni in the greater Orange County, California area.

4. Do I have to be an Entrepreneur to attend? |

 

No. The conference is open to anyone. Typical attendees include:

  • New and Seasoned Entrepreneurs
  • People "thinking about it"
  • Established business owners and managers
  • Anyone needing funding and growth capital
  • Those considering buying or selling a business
  • Professionals providing services to entrepreneurs

5. How much is the conference fee and what does it include? |

 

The basic fee is $189 before May 9 and $229 thereafter. This fee includes continental breakfast, luncheon, and refreshments during breaks, admittance to all sessions, a conference binder, and a cocktail/networking hour at the close of the conference.

6. Is there a discount for students? |

 

Yes, any full time, part time, or night time student from an accredited college or university who can show a valid student ID card at Check In, may pay the student discount rate of $89 before May 8 and $99 thereafter.

7. What are the hours of the conference? |

 

The Conference starts at 7:00 am and runs through 6:30 pm. There is a complete schedule on the website.

8. Can I attend just one panel or part of the day? |

 

Yes, the Conference is open to come and go as you please. However, pricing is for the entire day and you must show your badge before entering any of the Speaker or Panel events.

9. Can I walk in and register on the day of the Conference? |

 

Yes, however HBSAOC reserves the right to close attendance for the Conference if we exceed the capacity of the Hotel to safely accommodate guests.

10. What if I want to attend more panels than are offered? |

 

Many panels are repeated to give you more flexibility with your scheduling. If you are unable to attend a particular session, most speakers have extra copies of their presentations and are available for discussion between sessions.

11. Can I sit in on the Faculty Forum? |

 

No, the Faculty Forum is restricted to faculty members from participating business schools in Southern California.

12. What is the TCA event? |

 

An Evening with the Tech Coast Angels (TCA) is a separately priced event that overlaps the Entrepreneurs Conference networking hour so that early arrivals can join the EC 2008 networking. It is an opportunity to meet members of the Tech Coast Angels at a walk-around-buffet-dinner and wine reception. You can then watch the final presentations of the 6th Annual Fast Pitch Competition in which entrepreneurs make 60-second funding pitches to a panel of Tech Coast Angels and other experts.

14.What if I am unable to register online? |

 

If you are unable to register online, you may download a registration form from this website (in adobe .PDF format) and then return the completed form with your payment to HBSAOC via FAX or U.S. mail.

15. What if I need to cancel my registration? |

 

Cancellations must be received in writing, be postmarked by May 9, 2008 and are subject to a $25 per registration processing fee.
