Learn to recognize the signs and methods used in identity theft and fraud to protect yourself and your business. The holiday season is a time to be cautious so that fraudulent individuals don't enjoy the holidays at the your expense.
Sergeant Robert Berardi will show us what to look out for, and how to respond to individual or corporate fraud. He has spoken before numerous finance institutions, law enforcement agencies, and public groups across the USA and Canada. He has testified before the California Public Safety and California Banking and Finance Committees at the State Capitol. His article, A Metropolitan Approach to Identity Theft was published in The Police Chief magazine’s May 2007 edition, an internationally recognized publication.
Sergeant Berardi is a 28-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and the recipient of the Department's Meritorious and Exemplary Service awards. He is also the recipient of the Award of Distinction presented to him by the California Peace Officers Association.
